I value having tools that inspire me and I'm willing to pay for that. I'd rather not spend that much, but I'm willing to if that's the best fit for me.

With my Roli blocks I get Equator Player which I could upgrade for ~$80.
I'm hoping you can help me figure out if that's true and which one might be best for me. From what I've readĪre the best choices for a full featured MPE synth. Given Roli's unknown future right now, I'm leaning towards Pigments 2.

I'm very interested in learning about FM synths and modular and I'd like some software that can help me figure out if I want to dive into hardware synths. I'd like something that has high quality presets that can be used as is, but will also give me the tools to experiment and learn about sound design. I've got a Lightpad and a Seaboard Block arriving soon and I'm considering buying a synth VST for it but I could use some help making my decision.
